top tips for the perfect halloween party

I do love a theme, and halloween is such a fun time of year and a good excuse to get baking with the kids and to make a fun table spread for when the adults also want to have a party!

My top recipes:

I love baking but Im not that great at it, so easy is my no1 priority but obviously its got to look good!

  1. Halloween Cookies - using cookie cutters, fondant, edible eyes* and food colouring, I have halloween* ones and every year I make cookies and use the same cutter to cut the fondant. Its so easy and it looks great.

  2. Monster Strawberries - mix melted white chocolate and green foodcolouring and simply dip the strawberries in sticking two eyes on, and leave in the fridge to cool.

  3. Rice Krispie Brains - melt some white chocolate and mix with rice krispies, make into ovals and place on some baking paper and put in the fridge for an hour. Once the rice krispie mixture is hard melt some more white chocolate, mix with some red food colouring and pour on top of the rice krispies and then place back in the fridge to cool.

  4. Blood Punch - using a drink dispenser, just add cranberry juice to whatever your tipple is and you have the perfect halloween drink.

  5. Get searching on Pinterest and Instagram, one of my favs is Pickle & Bakes, as she creates really easy but effective baking ideas!

My top tips for the perfect grazing table & party decor:

  1. Head to Poundland, they have so many great decorations for such great prices !

  2. I love a statement decoration outside the house - something like this* is really fun

  3. I love floating decorations - these witch hats* and candles have such a good effect and are sure to impress your guests.

  4. Lots of cobweb and mini spiders* to cover the table and around the house.

  5. Whats halloween without a spooky door knocker to scare everyone away.

  6. Stick some of these bloody hands* up on the toilet and you will be scaring everyone away. You can even go the extra mile and re label your green hand wash to monster slush ;)

  7. Got some old jars or bottles? Fill them up with cranberry juice or some halloween candy for some good decor on a budget.

  8. I love making decorations edible so why not use a chocolate mould* to create some more spooky edible decor.

  9. Red burning candles… genius! A great way to give a spooky atmosphere

  10. Carving pumkins does take a long time, so why not get these ones* and then you can use them every year.
